Will Arnett Confirms Fifth-Season Renewal for “Arrested Development” is a Go

Arrested Development‘s return with its fifth season is no ‘would-they-or-wouldn’t-they?’ drama, but as fans we want things locked in and sealed with confirmed announcements. So rejoice now, fellow fanatics: the Bluths will be back!

Of all it comes from Gob Bluth, portrayed by actor Will Arnett who recently sat down with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and confirmed the much-awaited return of the comedy series. Now on its fifth season, the series are expected to tie up some more loose ends, including but not limited to father-and-son Michael and George Michael’s involvement in a love triangle and plans to produce a movie based on the life of the scandalous lives of the Bluths.

Going full on ‘meta,’ do recall, is one of the previous season’s cliffhangers.

As for George Oscar Bluth II (Arnett), there is more room than ever for ‘Forget-Me-Not’ incidents. And perhaps some more illusions? (The term ‘trick,’ obviously is incorrect: “tricks are what a whore does for money,” Gob explains.)

While Ted Sarandos, CEO of Netflix, have been hinting a fifth-season renewal for Arrested Development, it is Arnett’s sit-down with Fallon that makes for first confirmation about this info. “It’s going to happen,” assures Arnett. “We don’t know when, but it is going to happen.”
