Disney-Pixar has just released the newest trailer of its second feature this year, The Good Dinosaur.
Set in an alternate timeline where an asteroid never obliterated the dinosaurs millions of years ago, the story revolves around an orphaned dinosaur named Arlo who sets out on a journey with his newfound friend – a human boy.
Reportedly, the movie will feature relatively little dialogue, banking instead on the strength of how the two unlikely companions communicate through action and expressions rather than words. The trailer clearly focuses on this aspect with its use of sweeping music and lush photorealistic scenery to make you feel the film’s nature. Also noticeable is the contrast of cute cartoony characters and the movie’s vividly impressive environment. Overall, it’s fascinating to think of what wonder the final product will bring.
Directed Peter Sohn (Partly Cloudy), The Good Dinosaur features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, A.J. Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, Frances McDormand, Marcus Scribner, and Jack Bright.
