Viola Davis to star in Steve McQueen’s female heist thriller ‘Widows’

Viola Davis has been tapped to topbill Steve McQueen’s new film Widows. The acclaimed The Help-actress also stars in Fences, the latest from actor-filmmaker Denzel Washington.

Variety reports that “How To Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis is set to star in the new film. Davis, who’s missing an Oscar thropy on her awards rack, might just have set herself to one, finally, working with the Oscar-winning director of Hunger and Shame.
