Trevor Juras’ debut feature The Interior is premiering at this year’s Fantasia next week. If the trailer below is any indication, there is a hopeful chance that a distributor will pick it up for digital release (along with a few Sharknados and Zombeavers I’m certain).
Juras is the director of The Lamp (2013), the breakthrough short thriller from TIFF about a seemingly harmless first date. You can’t really expect less from a Herzog apprentice, can you? In his first feature-length film, a man turns to the forest upon learning of his illness. He takes a trip to the interiors of British Columbia, attempting to shut the world out. Of course, where there’s mist, there are secrets as yet undiscovered. The film follows James (Patrick McFadden), the man in question, through this (horrific) discovery.
Take a look at the film’s trailer below and make sure catch it if you’re in Montreal. For the rest of us, look out and don’t lose hope.
