Remember the first three Star Wars parody trailers we shared? Well apparently the internet simply could not move past them because someone has made a Wes Anderson version of the now-viral teaser-trailer, and it is c’est drôle. You may watch the Wes-cut trailer above.
Star Wars Episode VII is directed by J.J. Abrams (Super 8) and co-written by Lawrence Kasdan, who is, as you know, is one of the writers of the original Star Wars trilogy, before George Lucas did the most horrible thing, which is his pre-threequels.
It looks fun, featuring John Boyega appearing in a stormtrooper outfit (displeased faux-fans have pointed out that they know enough about the universe, but really they’re just racists) and Oscar Isaac doin’ some pilotin’ and of-screen saying that the trailer is a big eff-you to both fans and non-fans. The film is set to open worldwide next year in December.
