Starting as a showcase of Filipino films, Singkuwento International Film Festival evolved in its 2nd edition with the addition of a short film competition. Robert Reyes Ang, director of TNT (Tago Nang Tago), chaired the three-piece jury, composed of himself, Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo (filmmaker of Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita and Lorna) and Will Fredo (writer-director of The Caregiver and In Nomine Matris).
On the festival’s final night, February 28, 2015, the Singkuwento International Lfetime Achievement Award was bestowed to acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Mendoza for his invaluable contributions to the film industry. The following awards were given to the following short film entries and the people behind them at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in Intramuros, Manila:
