New ‘A Bigger Splash’ trailer: Tilda Swinton…Tilda Swinton for days!

2016 will surely be an exciting year for fans of Tilda Swinton—Goddess of Cinema—who was mostly absent on movie screens in 2015. Aside from the Coen Brothers’ Hail, Caesar! and Marvel’s Doctor Strange, Tilda Swinton—Goddess of Cinema, wink—is set to play a David Bowie-like rock star in A Bigger Splash, her second collaboration with I am Love director Luca Guadagnino, proving once again that there is nothing that Tilda Swinton—Goddess of Cinema, wink, wink!—can’t do.

An erotic thriller about desire, jealousy, and rock ‘n’ roll, the film is about how an aging rock star’s recuperative vacation with her younger boyfriend on an island is upturned by the visit of a long-time friend and his daughter. With visuals suggesting a lot of skin and sleeping around and with lines like “Everyone’s obscene. That’s the whole point.” and “I fall in love with every pretty thing.”, A Bigger Splash promises to be a sensual flick that shouldn’t be missed.

Completing the gorgeous star-studded cast are Ralph Fiennes (Skyfall, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Matthias Schoenaerts (Rust and Bone, Far from the Madding Crowd), and Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey). Originally slated for a 2015 release after its premiere at the 72nd Venice Film Festival, the film is pushing through a February 12, 2016 play date in the UK and May 13, 2016 in the US. No word as yet on a Philippine release.
