Jason Paul Laxamana’s Cinemalaya award-winning film, Mercury Is Mine, is getting a handful of extended screenings in select theaters at Ayala Malls. I’ve written a review on it, in which I talked in brief about its “forthright craziness”, which, to those familiar with his 2013 film Babagwa and liked it, is for certain something to look out for.
The film stars Pokwang as a Kapampangan eatery owner named Carmen, who, one night chances upon a young American named Mercury (played by Bret Jackson), whom she takes in as the help.
I’m hearing talks about a potential commercial release, but in the meantime, those who missed the film has a rare chance of catching it in theaters from August 20 to August 23. Here are the screening schedules.
MERCURY IS MINE extended screenings (this Saturday, Monday and Tuesday)!
