Now that Game of Thrones fans have yet to sit through another lengthy wait for the next season, the internet is conspiring in order to supress the seemingly worldwide anxiety.

George R.R. Martin — who promises to be a more flexible killer in his succeeding writing — is releasing his much-awaited sequel The Winds of Winter during a 2015-2017 window; something the television prods respect and resolve to adjust to. Inspired by the glam of 60’s Saul Bass, the two-minute video seems set to extreme virality (it is at a quarter-million views at the time of this publication) and is likely to be gloried across threads, feeds and reddits (and sub-reddits).

Not like it is the first: there are numerous Bass-inspired incarnations of the series’ poster, including Fernando Reza’s as shown above, having in entire effect a poster that cleverly homages Hitchcock’s Vertigo. There’s also a similarly-styled intro for Showtime’s recently-concluded serial killer drama Dexter.

Well, we have this in the meantime, folks; Game of Thrones returns to air at HBO in April next-freaking-year.
