Netflix has renewed “The Night Agent” for a second season consisting of 10 episodes, according to a statement released by the company. The action-thriller, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television Studios, premiered on March 23, 2023, and quickly climbed Netflix’s Top 10. The series debuted in the #1 spot on the English TV List with 168.71M hours viewed, making it the most viewed title in its premiere week. The show also ranked #3 for the premiere week of viewing across all Season 1 TV and appeared in the Top 10 in 93 countries.
“The Night Agent” is based on the novel by Matthew Quirk and follows the story of a low-level FBI agent working in the White House basement, whose life changes when he is propelled into a fast-moving and dangerous conspiracy that leads all the way to the Oval Office. The series is created, showrun, and executive produced by Shawn Ryan, known for his work on “The Shield” and “S.W.A.T.”.
