With Charlie Dizon as the obssessed Fan Girl alongside Paolo Avelino, who might be playing as himself.
It was just last month when we heard news that this co-production between BlackSheep, Project 8 cor. San Juan, Globe Studios , Crossword Productions, and Epicmedia — just some of the best film production companies in the PH — will premiere at the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival. ‘Fan Girl’ will be the sole Filipino film to premiere under the latest section of the festival called ‘Tokyo Premiere 2020’.
Here’s the synopsis so far:
An obssessed teenage fan finds herself inside a mansion with her celebrity idol she thought she knew and learns exactly why they say never meet your heroes.
We soon find out after numerous auditions were held earlier this year, that Charlie Dizon (Seven Sundays) bagged the titular role through this amazing poster fitting for the Tokyo IFF premiere.
The trailer offers no boundaries in showing that this is not a love story.
We’re excited to see more once the festival schedule is revealed on October 6, with the official festival run on October 31 to November 8.
