The trailer for DC’s ‘Wonder Woman’ is fantastic

The Princess of Themyscira is here and she is beauty, she is grace, and, she is definitely able to punch you in the face.

[dropcap size=big]D[/dropcap].C. Extended Universe’s Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) was first introduced earlier this year in BvS: Dawn of Justice (and stole the show, if we are to speak plain). To those who fell in love and can’t get enough of the ass-kicking Princess, though, Warner Bros. has got you all covered with their confirmation of a standalone Wonder Woman film set for release early next year. Directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Jason Fuchs, Gadot will reprise her role as the princess amazonian in her much-awaited solo film.

What’s more, just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the Wonder Woman film–and it is straight-up glorious! It’s action-packed, and if the clips showcased here are our only indication, the film is shaping up to be one of the most visually beautiful DC Studios has ever put out. To my personal delight is a handful of punchlines which almost guarantees that it will be veering away from the dark and gritty like in Batman V Superman’s. Oh, and I completely lost it when the theme “Is She With You?”, composed by Hans Zimmer, plays. What a great theme to accompany this badass character. Overall, this is looking to be a fun and enthralling film.

I’m sold.

This is what a fantastic trailer can do; this trailer also happens to be one of the most exciting, well-edited, action-packed trailers I’ve seen this year. I’m excited.

Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nilsen, Robin Wright, Wonder Woman will hit theatres in 2017. Meet the princess of the Amazonesses in the trailer below and voice out your thoughts in the comments!
